I grew up in the 60s and 70s listening to AFN on the radio. I was quite young when I gave up on hoping for peace in the Middle East, as I heard news of the turmoil every hour on the hour. But I gained an appreciation for all kinds of music because they played a different genre every hour. And at night we would lie in bed and listen to old radio shows from the 40s.
