When I was 18 and lived in L.A. I was beaten up by a homeless woman on my way to school one day. Dressed in a white petticoat and lace socks, I felt wimpy. After she shoved me around a bit and scratched my face she walked away. When I turned to walk into the building I realized a crowd had gathered. A man came over to me and said “You need to be careful what you say to people.” I looked at him and said, “Yes, and thank you for helping me asshole.”
